Robbie Keane will skipper the Republic of Ireland on Tuesday after a request from the LA Galaxy to have him returned to the USA was rejected.
Giovanni Trapattoni has named his starting XI for the second leg of a Euro 2012 play-off that Ireland currently lead 4-0, and Keane has made the cut.
His club side, LA Galaxy, had hoped that the striker would be given special dispensation to head back to the United States for a crucial domestic fixture.
The Galaxy are due to face Houston Dynamo on Sunday in the MLS Cup Final and were looking to include Keane in their plans, with Ireland having all but booked their place at next summer's European Championship.
Declined
The 31-year-old has politely declined the request, though, as he is fully committed to helping his country over the line in a crucial play-off clash.
Trapattoni is delighted to have his captain available and will partner Keane with Wolves frontman Kevin Doyle, as he returns from suspension.
Elsewhere, John O'Shea will replace the injured Stephen Kelly at right-back and Stephen Hunt will take over from Aiden McGeady on the left side of midfield.
Republic of Ireland team to face Estonia on Tuesday: Shay Given, John O'Shea, Sean St Ledger, Richard Dunne, Stephen Ward, Damien Duff, Keith Andrews, Glenn Whelan, Stephen Hunt, Robbie Keane, Kevin Doyle.
